Food Allergy and Dietary Disclaimer

What we do

When you tell us about a dietary need, we pass it to the bakery that makes the cake. We try to match requests with partners who have said they can meet that need. The bakery will see the dietary note on the order.

What we cannot promise

Cake It Forward does not bake cakes and does not inspect kitchens. Unless a bakery partner specifically represents that it operates an allergen-free facility, we cannot guarantee that a cake is free from any allergen, including nuts, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, or sesame. Cross-contact can occur in kitchens that handle those ingredients.

If an allergy is severe

Please tell us in the request. If we cannot find a bakery that can safely meet the need, we will say so rather than guess. We would rather find a different way to celebrate than risk someone’s health.

Your responsibility

Recipients and the people requesting on their behalf are responsible for deciding whether a cake is safe to eat. Ask the bakery directly if you have any doubt. Ingredient information for any cake is available from the bakery that made it.

Bakery partners

Partners agree to list only the dietary options they can reliably offer and to label allergen-related orders clearly. Partners who represent an allergen-free capability do so on their own responsibility.
